RiverTunes Music Store

Music Caravan

Our good friend Dana Thorin always provides a wonderful Camp Store with a great selection of capos, strings, picks, tuners, straps, bags, bridge pins & other instrument parts, T-shirts, CDs, instructional DVDs and many other musical accessories. She also works with the RiverTunes Faculty each year to provide specific instruments, accessories and or instructional books for our classes. Be sure and visit the Music Caravan while at RiverTunes!

The Loaner to Owner Program

In the early days of RiverTunes, Joe Craven devised a program for our students to make it as easy as possible to begin a potentially lifelong journey playing a musical instrument. He calls it his “Loaner to Owner” Program. Partnering with our camp music store, Music Caravan, and faculty, RiverTunes is growing an inventory of quality instruments for students to borrow for their classes to see, if a match is made in heaven…and without prior investment. The student has an opportunity, with select instruments, to buy one that has been “blessed” by our faculty, take it home and “never miss a beat” from introduction, to dating, to marriage of a student and instrument. It’s RiverTunes’ idea of the TV show “The Dating Game”.

Our “Loaner To Owner” Sponsors

Will & Patrice Webb

With a suggestion to Bruce and Cindy Hayden, many years ago, Patrice Webb planted the idea of a music camp along the American River. They hired Joe Craven as a teacher and Joe agreed to take over what they started. He and his wife Pamella and daughter Hattie evolved the Hayden’s smaller gathering into RiverTunes.

Patrice’s husband Will “Webbo” Webb, from the beginning, has volunteered his time and heart in generously volunteering in the requirement of medical triage for the camp. He brings his “good Will” of first rate first aid and armchair psychology. Through the years, the Webbs have additionally donated money and helped in the coordination of much needed resources. Patrice as a RiverTunes student, has evolved into a touring professional singer/songwriter and is now a RiverTunes instructor. We RiverTuners are sure proud Patrice and Will and they are a big part of our camp Family. Thanks, you two!
